It's been 20 years since Maxi Priest's first album. In his tenth, 2 The Max, he returns to his early sound, with some upbeat dancehall anthems.
The album was released on Relentless (Joss Stone, Roll Deep), after the label approached him with the idea of "taking things back".
Maxi is the UK's biggest-selling reggae star and most successful reggae solo artist in the world, second only to the man Bob Marley.
His pop and modern R 'n' B influences didn't endear him to all reggae purists but gave him a strong crossover appeal and he's widely credited with helping spread the gospel of reggae and Caribbean music to European audiences.
Starts 9pm, tickets £15. Call 01273 673311.
