With reference to the reply to my letter from David Williams of Southern Water (Letters, June 1) regarding the ongoing drought saga - so what if Southern Water is spending £20 million on 50 projects?
The way David words the letter seems to imply it is being financed by Southern Water.
In reality, it will be paid for by another inflation-busting increase on our water bills.
What's more, some of the repairs and replacements being undertaken have been neglected and delayed through the years. They were not held back to be dealt with in this present state of emergency.
