A new parking scheme to deter commuter traffic and create more spaces for householders will be considered today.
A review of parking in Campbell Road and Argyll Road near Preston Park, Brighton, by the city council has suggested a number of changes.
The review proposes installing four-hour parking limits in bays to deter commuter traffic, as well as the creation of more residents' permit bays.
Businesses could apply for permits that allowed them to park in a residents' or shared bay all day without buying a ticket.
If agreed by the council's environment committee today, the revised residents' parking scheme would be introduced in August.
