Actress Patsy Palmer compered an art auction to raise money for charities and a memorial fund to the woman who organised the event.
So many lots were donated to the auction, in aid of Amnesty International and Pride, the event was split over two days.
About £5,000 was raised on Tuesday and the auction on Wednesday was expected to bring in roughly the same amount.
Some money will go towards a memorial fund for Bianca Heard, 29, who died suddenly last month while on holiday with friend and boss Mark Whiting.
Mr Whiting decided to expand the auction, organised by Miss Heard, and appealed to local businesses for lots.
A memorial service took place yesterday at Preston Park followed by a party at Brighton Rocks in Kemp Town to celebrate her life. Miss Heard died on May 14. Results of her post-mortem are yet to be revealed.
