The Concorde 2 celebrated 6/6/06 in style.
The bands, performing as part of one of many Wrong Music nights held at the venue, came on in moody, hooded black capes and provided us with electronic music so fiercely energetic and abrasive it could easily have substituted for paint stripper.
Mu-ziq's Mike Paradinas provided the mixture of ravers and chin-scratchers who made up the crowd with an hour of frenetic, relentless breakcore gabba which was the music equivilant of watching a Formula 1 race speed past you repeatedly.
Headliner Venetian Snares (aka Aaron Funk) is notorious within the field of intelligent dance for providing the creme de la creme of ever-changing, genre-defying speed-electronica.
He didn't disappoint. His set was faster, louder and more complex than all the other artists of put together.
The crowd reciprocated appropriately - and went utterly and incessantly insane.
