It is about time the continued "will they or won't they?" debate about the suitability of Falmer as the site for a stadium, representative of our city's mercurial football team, is resolved.
If I may borrow a phrase from that great activist of human rights, Don B'Urger King: "I have a dream". Why not build the stadium underground? That way the integrity of our downland sheep can be preserved and the needs of the great unwashed masses of football fans can be gently hidden.
Surely Lewes District Council would gladly democratically enforce a voluntary 3,000 per cent land tax increase on its serfs to maintain the mutual will of the council.
