David Jones has a good grasp of history but not of current affairs.
He repeats the assertion that the proposed stock transfer equates to "privatisation" of Brighton and Hove City Council's housing stock.
Tenants will vote on whether or not to transfer ownership of the stock to a newly-created, independent, not-for-profit housing association which would be run by tenants for the benefit of tenants, a form of mutual ownership which could be likened to a co-operative.
It is not the same as transferring the stock to a privately-run, commercial housing association which has to deliver a profit for its shareholders.
Something other than council-owned-and-run housing is not by definition privatisation there are other valid forms of social housing.
