Your article on drug use was grossly distorted in its seamless combination of drug use with violence and rape, as if crazed junkies are roaming the streets (The Argus, May 17).
In fact, the vast majority of the recreational drug use you'll find in the clubs targetted in the survey is entirely peaceful.
Similarly, the vast majority of drinkers aren't rapists either.
Furthermore, you don't specify which substances were found.
Given the high number of users found - one in five - I suspect a large number of people had only used cannabis.
This is, of course, a substance well known for inducing violent and anti-social behaviour in those under its influence
