Perhaps it's the slightly misleading "acoustic" tag they've carried around since 2001, or maybe it's just the natural modesty of Olly Knights and Gale Paridjanian.
But few of the 200 fans crammed inside the Spiegeltent were left in any doubt that Balham duo Turin Brakes remain one of the most underrated bands in rock.
Using the one-off gig to showcase a clutch of highly promising new songs, it was the tried and tested favourites which sent sparks flying through the atmospheric venue. The crowd-pleasing Pain Killer, the spine-tingling Feeling Oblivion and a hugely uplifting singalong of pop anthem They Can't Buy the Sunshine were highlights.
