How sad it was to witness the planning committee passing the application to house seals and otters in the aquarium at Brighton's Sea Life Centre.
Should they ever have the misfortune to be confined to a small area in future, God forbid, they might like to look back and consider just how many of these animals they have condemned to years of incarceration.
Also, as they do not believe animal welfare should be considered in a planning application and that the meagre amount of money it can earn is more important than the suffering an animal may have to endure, may I suggest they immediately tear up the Brighton Animal Charter, because it obviously means absolutely nothing to some councillors.
