Further to your report on ME and how it affects youngsters (The Argus, May 15), it is fortunate most Sussex doctors recognise it as a serious illness - and there is now a specialist service in the county.
However, there is still a way to go before those affected can expect medical attention comparable with other neurological conditions.
It is important for people to realise ME/CFS is not just a matter of feeling fatigued - it can often ruin lives and render some housebound and a few bedbound for years.
