My son has sent me the devastating news that Titnore Lane, Durrington, is to be developed. I find this hard to believe as it is part of my heritage. I grew up playing and learning about animals and trees in this area.
Please, if you have any conscience at all, leave the lane and surrounding woodlands alone so other children can enjoy and appreciate the beautiful surroundings.
I returned there in 1992/93 and thought how ugly the area had become since I left.
The big pink building, (water board I believe), Tesco and other buildings have shattered my childhood memories.
At least back here in Australia I can dream of the pleasant woods and walks I used to enjoy.
Please reconsider and think of the next and next generation and not cars, houses, and money.
Leave the woods alone.
