Owing to voter apathy at recent elections, there is talk of compelling people to vote.
If this happens, MPs should equally be compelled to attend Parliament and vote when important issues are debated, instead of choosing to stay away or abstain.
Too often, on television, we see empty benches because only about a dozen MPs could be bothered to turn up.
Another thing to remember is if people do not wish to vote, they certainly will not vote for a party which compells them to do so and, no, I am not a non-voter.
I even vote in local by-elections.
