Contrary to negative comments from your recent correspondents, I write to thank the staff of the Royal Sussex County Hospital for the exceptional care and expertise lavished on me in the past months.
I had the misfortune to suffer heart problems that necessitated several attendances and admissions to the Cardiac and Endoscopy Departments. On each occasion, I was dealt with in a kind and professional manner.
The various procedures were fully explained and conducted with great skill and consideration.
The two spells in Lewes Ward were a revelation the standard of the in-patient care was very high and there was compassion and thoughtfulness in abundance.
It is impossible to single out particular individuals as they were all of the very best, from the cardiologist, Dr DeBelder, and his team, to the car park attendants (who were so helpful to my nervous wife) via the nurses, the cleaners and the catering staff.
Well done. With such staff as these, patients can rest assured they are in the best possible hands. I have now almost completed my rehabilitation at Eastbourne Hospital and have no further adverse heart problems.
Thank you all most sincerely.
-Jeffrey Harrington, Seaford
