Having seen the new development proposal for the marina, all I can say is it is truly stunning visually but, more importantly, meets the highest environmental standards and provides more than £20 million to be used by Brighton and Hove City Council for the benefit of the local community.
We get 341 affordable homes, new open space, a bowling green, sports facilities, a doctor's surgery, new investment in transport (hurrah to that) and many other things.
I have to ask, have the developers have done their sums?
Can they afford all this?
We should bite their hand off.
Few developments would give so much back to the community while meeting the highest environmental and design standards.
