BBC Radio 2 Folk Musician of the Year Michael McGoldrick has been making boundary-busting music for decades.
While most 15-year-olds are happily making a nuisance of themselves, this Mancunian musician and his flute were making award-winning music.
Over the years he's hooked up with everyone from Youssou N'Dour to Jim Kerr and John Cale as well as playing in Flook, Capercaille and Afro Celt Sound System, to name but a few.
But awards and collaborations aren't everything, as McGoldrick proved when he fulfilled a lifelong dream and appeared on Coronation Street to perform at Alec Gilroy's party. Sharon Shannon will be performing with him.
Starts 7.30pm, tickets cost £10 and 12. Call 01273-647100
