Discussions about the proposed, controversial, leisure centre development for the King Alfred site feel like they have been dragging on forever.
So how come, while this has been going on, Crawley Town Council has been able to build a wonderful new swimming pool and sports leisure complex?
(And why is it called K2? It sounds more like a mountain.)
This has been open and running for some while.
Crawley did not find it necessary to have any supporting or funding development such as high rise flats.
However did they achieve this? Of course, we know they purchased the land from the sale of their old leisure centre.
But, otherwise, how were they able to manage something Brighton and Hove City Council appears to be unable to do?
