The house in Wellington Road, Brighton should not be replaced by flats (The Argus, May 9).
Recently, The Argus has published articles about the need for supported halfway houses for people discharged from psychiatric hospitals and awaiting permanent supported housing, and those working within the mental health sector agree there is a need for such housing.
My son, Yannick (and, no doubt, others), died owing to the lack of such accommodation while living in an unsupported bed-and-breakfast room.
Let's try to ensure others don't suffer such a fate by using this house to support some of the most vulnerable people in our society.
