Oh, come on SMD Kent (Letters, April 17). If you find an apple which has gone so bad it can't be eaten at the bottom of your fruit bowl, you throw it away.
If you come across a stale piece of bread which is covered in mould, you throw it away.
So what is so different about bus tickets for which you no longer have any use?
I too have a Saver ticket which is valid until the end of this month but I never even contemplated trying to obtain a refund.
I know it will not make much difference in the grand scheme of things, but I thought I would delay until necessary the time when the council taxpayers at large have to pick up the tab for my bus travel.
Why not do the same by showing your Saver instead of your County Card? Then you won't feel you are out of pocket.
