The barnstorming news a developer is bidding to revitalise the heart of the city should gladden the hearts of discerning visionaries who aspire to bringing the very best enterprises to Brighton and Hove (The Argus, April 8).
The designer, international architect Jim Roberts of Jara International, appears to have a feel for gilded, palatial pleasure domes.
Then there is the whimsical flight of fancy of an overhead gondola cable system, all fronting a daring new business effigy for the city.
Also, this massive, £300 million development is pledged to providing various leisure facilities.
A new multi-roller sports centre with an internationalsized pitch for roller athletes, discos and daily public skating would really help this project get its skates on.
Let us hope that Jara International can deliver and see the project through.
Good luck to the team.
