How excited readers must have been to learn "Brighton and Hove bus crashes into church wall" (The Argus, April 20). We certainly were - it was our church.
All your readers must have been relieved to know neither the driver nor members of the public were injured.
Many readers will have been deeply moved by Roger French's heartening statement that he hoped to have the bus back in service later in the day.
But how many were left on tenterhooks wondering what happened to the wall?
I can reveal the freshly-remodelled wall will be included in the mobility-impaired access and frontage improvements shortly to take place, as we continue to bring the 130-year-old original Brighton Railway Mission up to speed to for the 21st Century as Calvary Church.
Who knows, we might even ask Mr French to come and open it.
Residents wishing to make a more conventional entrance are welcome to visit the Festival Fringe community art exhibition Making Tracks on Saturday afternoons during May. Or, if they want to be transported to heavenly regions, we are in service to God on Sundays at 11am and 6.30pm.
-Reverend Philip Wells, minister, Calvary Evangelical Church, Shaftesbury Road, Brighton
