Reading about the cinemas in Brighton (The Argus, March 7) took me back to when I was a 12-year-old at the Arcadia Cinema in Lewes Road, Brighton.
We paid a mere 3d to get during in the afternoon and this included a cup of tea and a biscuit.
Actually, we used to call it "the scratch" - don't ask me why! The Arcadia has been the Labour Club for many years.
We also used to go to the Sidley at Kemp Town where, if you wanted a cigarette, the manager would pop to the local pub for you.
How things have changed.
