Lewes will hand a debut to England semi-professional striker Roscoe D'Sane in today's Conference south clash at home to Welling.
D'Sane, one of the hottest properties in non-league football two years ago, was snapped up before yesterday's transfer deadline.
A regular scorer for his country, the 25-year-old has been plagued by injuries for the last 18 months, although he is now back to full fitness.
He had his contract with Conference side Aldershot cancelled last week because he could no longer commit to full-time football and King immediately stepped to sign a player he has known for a number of years.
King said: "Roscoe trained with us this week and looked razor sharp. He is another big signing for us."
D'Sane started at Crystal Palace and played twice in the League for Southend. After signing from Woking, he bagged 24 goals for Aldershot in the Conference in 2003-04.
