Shouty-rap electropunk guttermouth Peaches is forever immortalised in Brighton thanks to club night FTPA, which is named after her infamous track.
The Canadian-born, Berlin-based artist likes to sing about sex, backed up by deliciously minimal electronic beats and power-chord stadium rock.
Ever since her 2000 debut The Teaches of Peaches, she's been in demand both as a DJ and a live performer, and has been sought after to play with Bjork, Queens Of The Stone Age and Pink, among others.
Her performances are the stuff of legend, drawing devoted fans who love to watch her push the boundaries, front fierce riffs and sway seamlessly between a full-on rock extravaganza and performance art.
Her DJ sets are said to be just as energetic and full of the expected cheeky showmanship.
Described as a "musical evangelist" Erol Alkan has been hailed by The Face as the new Fatboy Slim. The North Londoner believes in the idea of a "conveyor belt of good feeling".
With his 6ft 6in frame curled over the decks, he straightens up every now and then to punch the air and grin at the crowd: "It's hit that point now where it's almost magical. You can put something on that you know they've never heard before and they're really going for it."
Alkan was at the forefront of the recent bootlegging craze before turning his attentions to DJing full time at an international level. For the past five years, he's played at London's The End every Monday night, and has also played Barcelona, Milan, Paris and New York.
A summer set at New York's Spa club got rave reviews in the Village Voice and a spread in Time Out New York.
