How many of those advocating the retention of the bus shelters at Palmeira Square actually use them?
The purpose of a bus shelter is to shelter and the current ones are woefully inadequate in this respect. By their very nature, bus shelters are not part of the Regency, Victorian or even Edwardian age, so can never be of a period design.
Though I agree the replacement shelters should harmonise as much as possible with their surroundings, they should also be fit for their purpose.
