I think I am on the same planet as Kay Smith (Letters, March 24) and I hope it is one where people take some responsibility for the care of living things around them.
It takes months to order and organise tree planting - and there is a backlog of streets asking for trees.
It could not be foreseen, when the trees were planned for Landsdowne Place, that the very day all was ready water restrictions would be announced.
As someone who has planted a tree in my ward every year, I am very aware of the vulnerability of young trees.
Or, even better, a share from her water butt (I am sure she has one) as long as the restrictions last.
Saving young trees for the street would surely be worth it.
