Pop star Chico Slimani has revealed the trauma he suffered as a teenager when he lost his younger brother to leukaemia.
Chico, who moved to Crawley after his family left Morocco, was 14 when his seven-year-old brother Faisal died from the illness a year after being diagnosed.
Ex-stripper Chico, 34, said: "Faisal was an extraordinary person.
"When the doctors told us he wouldn't pull through, it hit me like a sledgehammer.
"He was the be-all and end-all for everyone and we just adored him."
Chico plans to set up a children's charity called the Rainbow Foundation within the next year, inspired by the memory of his brother.
