Brighton's Unofficial Mayor (BUM) delivered his tenth anniversary address, inviting song, verse and debate from the floor.
All the classics were there - Fiveways (Frank Sinatra's My Way), Pavilion (Robbie's Millennium) and the sublime Kid from Whitehawk (sorry, Lower Roedean) sung by master Terry Garoghan and the packed crowd to the tune of Pink Floyd's Another Brick in the Wall.
There was even a dedication to The Argus in the form of Eminem and Dido's Stan, this time about a disgruntled reader who never receives a reply to his letters and decides to blow up the town hall.
Every witty observation of Brighton life is delivered in the most deliciously base form possible.
This is proper unpretentious, working-class humour at its best and we all lapped-up every minute of it.
