Eastbourne Theatres has embarked on a new venture - promoting new writing.
On Tuesday, Hastings playwright Christine Harmer Brown's 15 Minutes opened in a specially-constructed studio theatre in the Gold Room above the Winter Garden.
The play gives an intriguing insight into the world of a television documentary film-maker and her subject, and has a twist in the tail which will surprise everyone.
It is a tour de force for the two female leads, Maggie, played by Moira Brooker (Judith in As Time Goes By) and Toni, played by Carly Hillman (Nicki de Marco in EastEnders). Both are excellent in their roles as are the male counterparts, Ashley Rolfe (Mason) and Tim Block (Robin).
People shy away from unknown plays but this is worth seeing. Beautifully written and acted, it runs for 90 minutes without an ninterval.
