The collaboration between hip-hop comrades MC Yungun and Mr Thing is one of the most eagerly anticipated projects to come from the UK scene in a while.
North Londoner Yungun, aka Essa, began his musical career as a host and MC on pirate radio station Parlay, in Harrow during the Nineties.
His first joint project was the group Dupa Styles, which he formed with fellow MC Devise. The duo began making noise on the fiercely competitive open-mic circuit across London.
It was through Dupa Styles that he made contact with the Scratch Perverts. Former Pervert Harry Love produced their album and original member Mr Thing was keen to collaborate, too.
Mr Thing is widely recognised as one of the world's most talented scratch DJs, and also as an exceptional club DJ who never fails to win the crowd over with his classic choice of hip-hop and funk, incorporating his scratching skills.
As well as being crowned World DMC Team Champion and UK DMC Individual Champion in recent years Mr Thing has made his name as one of the finest producers in contemporary hip-hop.
Open 11pm-4am, entry £2 before midnight. Call 01273 699069.
