I am writing to thank the lady who replied to my cousin's plea in your newspaper for the film Charley Moon (Letters, March 17).
I think the lady's name is Rita. She replied to Phil Everest's letter so promptly and gave him the film on video that afternoon.
I have been trying to find this film for years so was really delighted to at last have it in my collection.
It is really good quality, too, so thanks Rita, it was so kind of you to bother to contact Phil and give him the film.
Thanks also to Phil, my newfound third cousin, for giving me a wonderful surprise yesterday morning in the post.
I only had a small part in the film, when Max Bygraves walked by, but as this film is now 50 years old, both the film and I are now antiques.
