Anti-war protesters staged a mock weapons inspection at a factory that makes bomb parts for fighter jets.
The demonstration was held to mark the anniversary of the start of the Iraq war.
The demonstrators arrived at the gates of EDO MBM Technology in Home Farm Road, Brighton, yesterday and demanded access to inspect the factory, which makes bomb release components for use on jets in Iraq.
Spokesman Andrew Beckett said: "With the war drums for an attack on Iran beating louder, it is time that we as UK citizens took responsibility for the weapons being manufactured in our communities.
"We ask EDO MBM to transfer production to civilian purposes and not to aid any more illegal wars."
EDO MBM, which has been based around Brighton since 1946, has always defended its position.
It said a defence industry was a necessary part of a democracy and that its enterprise was entirely legitimate.
