Two Spanish guitarists without vocals had this young, sell-out crowd screaming for more.
Any guitarist will tell you how hard this is to achieve but Rod and Gab did it with ease.
Gabriellas power, passion and rhythmic prowess complemented Rodrigos catchy, riff-led playing.
Quoting Brubeck, Zeppelin and Metallica, their music is best described as a feel-good fusion of Latin American, flamenco, rock, house and dance.
Fast and furious, they reeled off original tunes from their number-one-selling album (in Ireland, at least), with the odd rock anthem or jazz classic thrown in.
Take Five, by Brubeck, showed an introspective side, as their guitar percussion transformed six strings into a drum kit.
Now accomplished performers and regulars on the festival circuit, Rod and Gab will continue to woo crowds for some time to come.
