The new street lights on Hove seafront (The Argus, March 13) are stunning and a huge asset to the area.
It is also encouraging to hear the lights they are replacing can be recyled for such an impressive amount of money.
Can we therefore conclude Brighton and Hove City Council might now be able to afford a few lightbulbs to replace the stretch of nine existing lights on the promenade, between the Lawns Cafe and Courtney Terrace, which have been plunged into darkness for so long?
The cyclists in the bike lane might now be safe but spare a thought for the runners, dogwalkers and pedestrians of Hove.
