As any vaccination takes around about two weeks to build up any antibodies, I find the lack of action by the Government regarding vaccinating domestic birds here very strange. By the time they get around to it, it will all be far too late, as avian flu is on its way.

It will be another debacle just like the foot-and-mouth epidemic which resulted in the cruel slaughter of tens of thousands of animals, some of them domestic pets, which could have been avoided by mass vaccination.
