An expanded study and learning centre will be opened at Brighton and Hove Albion's Withdean Stadium tomorrow.
Among those attending the opening will be David Lepper, Labour and Co-operative MP for Brighton Pavilion.
Mr Lepper said: "At the end of last year I met officials from Premier League clubs at a Football Association event about the work which the top teams are doing to help youngsters and their communities.
"They all felt that what the Albion are doing along with the local education authority to help young people learn is one of the best schemes in the country.
"We can be proud of our club's work for the local community and it will be good to see the improved facilities they are now making available.
"With a new stadium at Falmer as their base they could be doing even more.
What a pity the short-sighted attitude of Lewes District Council is holding up progress with this work as well as with the stadium itself."
The expanded Study Support Centre and the new Seagulls learning centre will be opened at noon.
