A graffiti art gallery funded with money from the Princess Trust is moving to new premises.
The lease on the cutting-edge Rare Kind gallery, a focus point for British hip-hop and graffiti movements, has run out and there were fears the gallery could close.
But owner David Samuel said: "There's no way we're closing, I'm a fighter."
Bids to take over of a number of undisclosed properties in Brighton have been made and Mr Samuel expects to make an announcement on where Rare Kind will move to within two weeks.
The gallery, in North Road, has an unrivalled reputation among graffiti and hip-hop fans in Brighton.
Founded with the help of a Princess Trust grant, it is said to be the country's first and only graffiti art gallery, displaying a wide range of pieces and styles.
