Brighton and Hove City Council is going too far with it's stealth tax on car drivers. It's hit and miss whether you get taxed and seems to make no difference how you're parked.
I recently received a notice to pay £60 despite being legally parked. Apparently I didn't pay the initial £30 but then I didn't receive the first ticket.
So my "representation" was sent to the council and I await its decision.
However, when I needed the help of the fire brigade two weeks ago, it couldn't get past a double-parked car. The owner was in bed and her housemate had to move it.
Where were the traffic wardens?
Double parking creates a danger if you've called an emergency vehicle.
