After reading the write-up of the recent NME Awards Tour (The Argus, February 18), I was left thinking: Was Sam Thomson actually there?

I was and didn't notice a drop in crowd numbers when Maximo Park entertained us equally as much as the Arctic Monkeys and We Are Scientists did.

Although, I must admit, I only caught the last five minutes of the Mystery Jets, which was a shame as they were a great opening act which Sam must have missed, too, as they weren't mentioned.
