Whitehawk trainer Gary Emins is expecting fireworks when he hosts his first ever dinner show at Hove Town Hall.
Steve O'Brien, from Emin's gym, is matched against Hove's Navid Iran tomorrow night in a bout which, on past form, may not go the distance.
Heavy-hitter Iran has the potential to stop opponents in short time, although, he has also been known to run out of steam.
Emins said: "It should be one of the best bouts of the night and could be explosive."
The host club also has senior Michael Dore matched against Mark Houlden of Hove-based Gallus.
Other Whitehawk boxers matched include Scott Hillman, John Pema, Parvis Shamnaazi, Ed Lawrence and Wade Crossweller.
Junior Crossweller will be looking for revenge when he meets West Hill (Hastings) boxer Ollie Bristow, who stopped him in the third round of their last meeting before Christmas.
Hove junior Connor James faces Ryan Farrell of Adur and District in a re-match of an excellent contest which opened the Bognor show last December.
James took a majority decision on that occasion as they were awarded the best loser and best winner prizes.
Also on the bill is West Hill light-heavyweight Adam Haniver up against Billingshurst's Simon Hopkins, who is making a return to the amateur ranks after a spell in the pro game.
Emins said: "It's my first dinner show and it is going very well. We have sold 35 tables but there are still tickets left."
For details telephone Emins on 0781 8611403.
The Whitehawk show begins a busy weekend for Sussex boxers and a representative squad flies out to the Channel Islands for a showdown with the Leonis club that night.
