I am somewhat disturbed by some of the weird letters written to The Argus recently by Albion supporters.
L Chapman (February 7) asked Lewes District Council (LDC) what it wanted for our children's future, suggesting it "take a walk around the parks where your kids are playing football every weekend, kneedeep in mud and dog muck".
If he's referring to Lewes, his geography must be wrong. Taking a walk around the sports grounds, not parks, he would see boys and girls taking part in football, rugby and tennis.
Paul Baron (February 13) mentions some of the organisations opposing the stadium at Falmer, including LDC and Falmer Parish Council, and says: "I hope they have adequate protection should an adverse outcome occur".
What exactly is he suggesting? Can anyone, out of the many pro-stadium letter writers, detail how moving from Withdean to Falmer will create hundreds of fulltime jobs?
