The Argus Lite has been launched to widespread acclaim.
The newspaper, a milestone in the history of The Argus, was extremely well-received on its first day and looks set to be a runaway success.
Aimed primarily at commuters travelling to and from London, and made up of largely national content, it is thought to be the first of its type anywhere in the country.
Distributed at Brighton, Hove, Preston Park, Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill railway stations on Monday morning to eager train passengers, feedback has been enormously positive.
Neil Hardman, 35, from Brighton said: "It's a tremendous idea, compact but with all the news and perfect for the train. I'll certainly be reading it again."
