Anti-sewage campaigners will watch councillors debate the £200 million Southern Water treatment scheme via web cam.
Southern Water want to build the treatment works, dubbed Poohaven, to transfer millions of litres of sewage a day between Brighton and Peacehaven.
East Sussex County Councillors will debate the controversial plan in the county hall chamber at Lewes on March 22.
However, the chamber can only cater for about 30 members of the public so a web cam link will be created between the chamber and the Meridian Centre in Peacehaven, so residents can watch the debate.
The county council's planning and highways sub-committee will make a decision on whether the scheme will go ahead.
The proposal also goes to Lewes District Council on March 8 and campaigners against the sewage works are hoping the officers' report to district councillors will recommend the plan is thrown out.
However, it will still have to go to county, although it is hoped a refusal by district councillors will have sway' over how the county members vote.
John Hodgson, of campaign group PROUD, Peacehaven Residents Opposed to Urban Development, said: "We have to redouble our efforts right now until March. People have to get their pens out and write.
"You can't relax until you hear the final bell. Even if the officers recommend refusal we can't take the councillors' decision for granted."
