Lewes District Council is still waiting for a date for a review of the decision on Falmer Stadium.
The council has appealed to the High Court over the ruling by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, John Prescott, allowing Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club to build a new ground on the outskirts of the town.
It is supported by the Campaign to Protect Rural England, Falmer Parish Council, the Sussex Downs Society and the South Downs Joint Committee.
Albion supporters have predicted the council will lose and could end up paying extensive legal fees.
A Government spokesman said it was still not known when the hearing would take place.
