Dozens of angry fans walked out of a gig after singer Beth Orton turned up late because she was handing out an award at last night's Brit Awards. Orton was due to play a gig at the Brighton Dome.
Angry fans began demanding their money back after being told the singer would be arriving some time around 10.20pm. She should have been on stage around 9pm.
It is believed Orton left the Brits in London but was delayed en route by a burst sewage pipe.
One angry fan said: "People were laughing and in good humour, but then time went on people began demanding their money back."
Tickets cost £18.50 each. Orton eventually took to the stage at about 10.20pm.
