An amusement arcade owner is to appeal after a planning application to extend its premises was refused.
The Noble Organisation, which also owns the Palace Pier in Brighton, wants to double the size of its arcade in St Jamess Street, Kemp Town, Brighton, by converting the shop next door.
The application was turned down by Brighton and Hove City Council last year.
Councillors said the proposed extension would undermine St Jamess Street as a shopping district.
An appeal will be heard by a planning inspector at Brighton Town Hall on Tuesday March 7.
