I wonder how many other people look at the state of South Victoria (where the large Christmas tree was) and see what a mess it is.
Last year, new turf was laid, at great expense, only to be trampled into a boggy mess.
Doesn't Brighton and Hove City Council care that this view is seen by the visitors passing through our city? Do they have any pride? Obviously not, or the fencing would have gone back up. Where did it go? New fencing adorns the front of the Royal Pavilion but where is the rest of it? Why not put the fencing back up?
Surely this would stop unsightly views such as the one at South Victoria?
What happens to the money from the Spiegeltent and Lady Boys events? I understood the money was to be ploughed back into the Steine area.
Where is the evidence of that? Looking at Worthing seafront and Eastbourne, they show us up. And we're the city. Come on, Brighton and Hove City Council, where's your pride?
Put the fencing up - it's simple.
