The letters submitted Elizabeth Wakefield (February 1) and David Hammond (February 8) seem to prove what many of us suspected.
The calls to ban angling appear to be the next step in an unending quest which started with fox hunting.
Fortunately, any Government would realise any attempt to curtail fishing would be electoral suicide as it is now the most popular pastime in Britain.
If somehow a ban was implemented, what would be next?

There must come a time when sanity will prevail.
