Growth is continuing at Gatwick Airport with more passengers and cargo passing through.
During January 2,094,300 passengers used the airport, 2.1 per cent more than in January 2005.
The number of passengers using the airport during the last 12 months was 32,747,000, 3.7 per cent more than between January 2004 and January 2005.
By comparison passenger numbers shrank by 0.6 per cent at Heathrow but grew 6.9 per cent at Stansted in Essex.
During January 16,745 tonnes of cargo was shipped through the airport, 1.8 per cent up.
