It has been six years since Stomp founders Luke Cresswell and Steve McNicholas purchased the Astoria building in Gloucester Place.
As progress has halted, perhaps they would consider alternative plans. This building is large enough to house an indoor skatepark, something which Brighton sadly lacks.
There is also room for a street hockey pitch, which would give Brighton Street Stormers a home of their own.
There is also scope for a video games room, a burger franchise or a video room. This building could become a major centre for Brighton's teenagers, who are not adequately provided for.
It could offer a place for them to go, rather than hanging out in the cold. Please, give it some thought. The raw energy these kids have is the same raw energy which created Stomp.
Another adult entertainment venue isn't needed but an imaginative youth venue is. The Astoria is a wonderful building. Please, give it back to Brighton as a unique gift to our teenagers.
